30-Day Project: Wraps That Slaps
The objective of this project was to create a cohesive body of work that utilizes design, culture, art, and functionality to create a decal/sticker wrap for reusable water bottles and water flasks to practice and promote environmental sustainability. To achieve this, I was tasked to create a design every day for 30 days. The idea behind this project was to promote environmental sustainability practices by using the decals/sticker wrap to revitalize scratched and dented metal water bottles/flasks by placing them over the damaged areas. In doing so, the user can prolong its use rather than replace the entire vessel, ultimately reducing waste. The designs themselves reflect the target audience: young adults and college students (ages 18-25+). Targeting a younger audience through a popular culture subject matter, such as Anime, can affect a larger audience while promoting the practice of reusability at an earlier age allows the individual to develop it into a habit, ultimately reducing waste.
