The LACMA Poster Series Project was a project that focused on creating a 'family suite' of three posters for LACMA's Teen Summer Activities Program. The designs are meant to infuse design and informational content to create a unique emotional relationship between the audience. The target audience for this project was children ages 13 to 15 and were created to appeal to all genders. I went with a geometric approach for the design by utilizing basic shapes to create a pattern that would create visual movement throughout the poster. I chose to use colors with high contrast to give the poster a visual "pop". By utilizing basic shapes and high contrast colors, I felt this approach would best appeal to a younger audience since there is a familiarity and recognizability with the shapes and colors that would make it easier to digest the information provided.
